運が悪いと思った踏切の待ち時間も、息子と並んでみればちょっとした特等席。
同じ時間でも、誰とどう過ごすかで見え方は変わる。

待ち時間
ギリギリで捕まった踏切
運が悪いはずの最前列
僕と息子のツートップ
僕は左で 息子は右
カンカンと響く音
かすかに混じる電車の音
さてさて右か左か
どっちから来るんだい
今日の気分は特等席
Waiting Time
Caught by the crossing
at the very last second.
Front row seats—
just my luck.
My son and I,
the two of us up front.
I'm on the left.
He's on the right.
The ding-ding of the crossing,
and somewhere beneath it,
the faint sound of a train.
So, which is it?
Right or left?
Which way are you coming from?
Today, somehow,
these feel like the best seats in the house.
